Scholars have however found it difficult to draw the line between power and authority. This problem emanated from the fact that scholars seemed to have taken these concepts as twin concepts that may be used interchangeably. The aim of this research is to examine the distinction that has been drawn between power and authority and examine that the former is sociological while the latter is philosophical.
