dc.description.abstractThe socio-economic status according to Gray and Moshinky (1930) has never been the same globally. This is due to natural resources endowed to every nations, some nations may have rich natural endowment such as diamond, copper and steel, gold and so on, which may actually serve as a source of revenue for the country. The objective of this study, is to find out whether parents socio-economic background has effect or impact to the children performance in school to determine whether parent educational background contributes to their children academic, to investigate into the effects of socio-economic status of parents on the educational performance of students and also to find solution to the problems.en
