Abstract
Malaria is a life threatening disease caused by protozoan parasite of genus plasmodia that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected mosquitoes. 100 blood samples of pregnant women were collected and examined for malaria parasites using rapid diagnostic test kits. 60 women were malaria positive. the highest prevalence were since in women within 21-26 years age group. The result shows that there is high prevalence of malaria among pregnant women in the study.
