Abstract
Activated carbon has been produced form rice husk, via two step (i) carbonization and activation with HN03. It was then interacted with dye effluent. This analysis estimated the concentration of lead in dye effluent solution before and, after interaction with the absorbent (Rice's husk). The result indicate that different time of adsorbent had its highest adsorption (91.67%) when 5.0g of the adsorbent at 150 minutes and the least was 5.0g of the adsorbent at 30 minutes (66.67%) of the lead (ii) ion. This shows that the higher the contact time, the higher the percentage adsorption.
