dc.description.abstractThe area studied ls located within latitudes ioooo'N and l0°34'N and longitudes io004'E and io0o6'E and it covers an area of about 33.0km2, The area ls underlain by both crystaline basement rocks and sedimentary rock. The Crystaline basement rocks consists of migmat!tic gneiss complex, Granitic gneiss, Quartzites and Older Granite suite comprising of biotite granite, hornblende granite. The foldi ng is dominant on the quartz riqges. The migmat ituc . gneiss complex is thought to be the oldest group of rocks in the mapped area Brirrimlan C2500m.y) or Liberian C2800m.Y> Cooray (1974).en
