The population of the study was derived from the pool of Here top, middle and junior ranking officers, while the sample of the population covers the total of 60 respondents. The study utilizes questionnaire instrument as its source for data collection. Total of 60 questionnaires was distributed to the sampled population and only 64 were completed and returned. The data was analyzed in a tabular form using frequency and simple percentage. Similarly, the hypothesis was tested using inferential statistics (chi-square). The findings reveal that it suffice at this point to state that, the federal Ministry of works is an organization that requires strategies for improved productivity. But the findings of this research indicate that, workers are not significantly motivated and this represents a stumbling block as no administrative strategy can effectively operate under a context where workers are not adequately motivated. The study recommends that the management should note that merit system on recruitment exercise is also recommended and after employees academic or professional training background, it is sure worthy to place employees on internal training programme as required by the nature of the job. The study concludes that the impact of effect reward system in enhancing employee's productivity in an organization should be accorded considerable attention.
